Under general supervision, the Financial Analyst will support the Corporate Finance team in evaluating company performance and investments to achieve company strategic objectives. Duties will include analytical support around healthcare forecasting and budgeting, managing and maintaining financial support systems, and assisting in complex financial assessments around volume, reimbursement, operating cost, and financial structure. The Financial Analyst will also perform numerous and varied financial modeling tasks to support growth/M&A related objectives as well as develop supporting documentation around modeling assumptions.

Essential Functions:

  1. Collaborate with operations leadership and department heads to review budget/forecasting proposals, revenue performance, and operating capital needs.
  2. Prepare financial and statistical analyses, graphs, and presentation materials; provide analytical support for the finance and operations teams.
  3. Partner and support the management team in creating efficiencies through automation and streamlining of processes, serve as a technical resource, and provide support with design, development, implementation, and administration of on-going enhancements to our financial planning tools.
  4. Research and calculate the impact of operational changes to budget and long term strategic plan.
  5. Gain a deep understanding of business needs to contribute to prioritization of new projects/enhancements to meet existing and long-term goals of multiple business partners.
  6. Perform in-depth financial analysis, including financial modeling and pro forma projections, to assess the financial viability and potential risks of growth/M&A opportunities.
  7. Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and memorandums on growth/M&A projects to communicate findings, recommendations, and financial analysis to management and various stakeholders.


Requirements

Education / Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics or Healthcare Administration.
  • 2 years of related experience.
  • Strong understanding in data analysis and financial modeling.
Qualifications / Skills:
  • Advanced Excel skills with extreme attention to detail along with usage of a cloud-based planning software (Adaptive Insights, Oracle NetSuite, Planful)
  • Excellent communication skills, can establish credibility, build consensus, and partner cross-functionally without direct authority.
  • Requires very strong quantitative skills, a good sense of how to dissect problems and a strong ability to "connect the dots".
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment, building relationships and fostering a positive work culture
  • Experience in healthcare and hospitals is preferred.
Work Environment:Subject to many interruptions. Pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries. Can be high paced and stressful; must be able to cope mentally and physically to atmosphere. Requires spending approximately 90% or more of the time inside a building that offers protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
