Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with day-to-day accounting functions for all entities
  • Review and ensure proper recording of transactions for all entities
  • Perform general ledger account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
  • Create and maintain accurate schedules for construction projects, real estate and other entities such as but not limited to budget to actual reporting and projections, intercompany transactions, debt schedules, insurance schedules, etc.
  • Assist with subcontractor and vendor document review for compliance with contracts and insurance requirements within company policies
  • Assist with cash management and prepare funding requests for construction projects and other entities in a timely manner
  • Prepare financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis for tax return preparation
  • Backup for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processing as needed
  • Annual 1099 preparation and reporting
  • Provide support to the construction team and management of other entities in a timely and efficient manner
  • Professional and efficient communication with all BLE team members
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Education, Skills and Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting position
  • Experience in construction, real estate or public accounting preferred
  • General understanding of accounting standards and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Effective problem-solving skills to identify and correct financial discrepancies
  • Demonstrates high degree of accuracy and attention to detail Work experience in a paperless office
  • Highly proficient in time management, planning, and prioritization
