Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to support the Transition Assistance Program (TAP) at the Barksdale AFB Military and Family Readiness Center. The ideal candidate will have strong data entry skills, be proficient in Microsoft Office, and thrive in a professional, customer-focused environment.Work Schedule:

• Days: Monday through Friday
• Hours: 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM (40 hours/week)
• Off Days: All federal holidays, Family Days, and official base closure days

• Enter and update TAP-related workshop data in AFFIRST and milConnect systems.
• Maintain attendance logs and program performance statistics.
• Prepare and manage daily workshop sign-up sheets.
• Confirm participant attendance by phone and/or email.
• Update client checklists and documentation after workshop completion.
• Track and record client visits and phone interactions.
• Assist at the front desk with scheduling and phone calls.
• Set up classrooms and issue/collect laptops for participants.
• Ensure data privacy and secure handling of all government property.

• At least 6 months of data entry experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Comfortable working with web-based systems and databases.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work with diverse individuals in a professional setting.
• Organized, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines.
• U.S. citizen; must pass applicable background checks.

• Familiarity with military culture or support services.
• Experience with TAP, AFFIRST, or similar data management systems.
