Labcorp is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join their Specimen Management team in Lafayette, LA. ?

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri; 5pm - 9 pm

Job Responsibilities:

  • Acta liaison between the lab, clients, and patients.

  • Resolve internal & external customer requests via calls, instant messenger & email communications

  • Communicates with customers inrespectfuland professional manner.

  • Work in multiple databases to research complex issues and questions.

  • Provide customer education and information as needed.

  • Review test forms for accuracy and report any discrepancies.

  • Prepare and triage specimens for analysis.

  • Accuratelyidentifyand label specimens.

  • Pack and shipspecimensas necessary.

  • Prepare and store excess specimen samples.

Requirements :

  • High School Diploma or equivalentrequired

  • Associates degree or higher is preferred

  • Prior medical/clinical laboratory experience is preferred

  • Familiarity with laboratory operations as well as policies and proceduresispreferred

  • Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal

  • Comfortable handling biological specimens

  • Ability to accuratelyidentifyspecimens

  • Experience working in a team environment

  • Strong data entry and organizational skills

  • High levelof attention to detail

  • Proficient in MS Office

  • Ability tolift upto 40lbs.

  • Ability to pass a standardized color blind test
