The Louisiana Physical Therapy Board's mission is to protect the public health, safety and welfare, and to provide for state administrative control, supervision, licensing, and regulation of the practice of physical therapy in Louisiana (La R.S. 37:2402). We're looking for an Administrative Assistant to join our agency. The Administrative Assistant plays a key role in supporting the Executive Director and the operations and outreach functions of the Board office

Minimum Qualifications
Three years of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
Administrative Assistant provides high-level administrative, coordination, and reporting support to the Executive Director. The position is responsible for preparing executive correspondence, coordinating interdepartmental communication, and supporting the Board's education and outreach initiatives.
Executive Administrative Support 50%
Initiate correspondence with external stakeholders, including other government agencies and legislators.
Coordinate and attend stakeholder meetings, including preparation of memoranda, reports, and briefing materials.
Track assignments and follow-up items promptly.
Maintain confidential and sensitive documentation.
Organize and maintain executive files and records.
Screen and prioritize communications directed to the Executive Director.
Meeting Follow-Up & Documentation 50%
Prepare meeting summaries, action-item documentation, and follow-up readbacks to ensure clarity of direction and accountability.
Report to Executive Director and/or Board members on current education and outreach initiatives
Review and track legislative bills, providing summaries for the Executive Director to prepare the Executive Director to offer education/information on Board initiatives and regulatory work as requested by legislators
Appointment Type: Probational
Career Progression: This position does not participate in a CPG
Work Schedule:Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday.
Compensation: Depends on qualifications and work experience
