A company is looking for an Inpatient Facility Coder.Key Responsibilities:Abstracts relevant clinical information from health records and assigns accurate codesIdentifies principal and secondary diagnoses and assigns appropriate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codesEnsures compliance with coding standards and meets productivity and quality standardsRequired Qualifications:High school diploma or GED equivalentCompletion of a formal coding programCertified Coding Specialist (CCS), RHIA, RHIT, or other AHIMA/AAPC approved credential preferredMinimum of three years of acute care inpatient coding experienceWorking knowledge of ICD coding system, medical terminology, anatomy, and health record content
